Tia's tip
When cooking - the thinner the burger the quicker it will cook.
What do we do?
-
Chop the onion into small cubes. The easiest way is to put half an onion flat side down on the chopping board. Cut from the root outwards (do not cut through the root) then cut across the onion the other way. Or you can use a grater (but be careful of your eyes – it will make you cry).
-
Put in the large bowl with the beef
-
Put the cream crackers in a bag and hit it with a rolling pin until they are a fine crumb. Add that to the bowl
-
Cut the parsley with scissors until fine and add to the bowl
-
Add salt and pepper and the egg. Use your hands to squeeze and mix everything together
-
Make the burgers into 4 patties, the easiest way is to roll into a ball and then flatten with your hand.
-
Put in the frying pan over a medium heat. Cook gently for 3 minutes both sides
To make the Ketchup
-
Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and stir. You can taste as you go along and make changes so you like how it tastes
To finish the burger
-
Slice the tomato, wash the lettuce.
-
Put them in the roll with the burger and add cheese and ketchup if you would like it
Eat and enjoy!
