
Ingredients​

Pizza dough

250g plain flour

1 teaspoon dried active baking yeast

1 pinch salt
-
200ml warm water
-
1 tablespoon olive oil

Tomato sauce

4 Tblsp Tomato puree

½ tsp Oregano
-
¼ tsp Salt
-
¼ tsp Pepper

Toppings

It is entirely up to you. Traditionally pizzas have mozzarella cheese. We used a combination of Mozzarella and cheddar.

You can also add any cooked meat or vegetables

What do we need?

Weighing scales

Fork

Measuring jug

One large bowl

One small bowl

Cheese grater

Tablespoon

Pizza tray or normal baking tray
What do we do?
-
Put the yeast into the warm water and put to one side.

Measure the flour and salt into a bowl
-
Stir in the water and olive oil
-
Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Use a little more flour to knead the dough and make it smooth

Cover the dough and leave to rest for 15 minutes

Mix the ingredients for the tomato sauce in a small bowl

Divide the dough in half and roll out to form a circle base
-
Spread the tomato sauce over the pizza base, layer on the mozzarella cheese and add any other toppings you would like
To cook your pizza

Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6
-
Bake in the preheated oven until the pizza base is puffed and golden, about 15 minutes
