Pizza Whirls

Pizza is a yummy tea time treat. These whirls are ideal for dinner or you can leave them to cool and take them out for a picnic.

  • Cover the dough and leave to rest for 15 minutes

  • Mix the ingredients for the tomato sauce in a small bowl

  • Divide the dough in half and roll out to make a rectangle

  • Spread the tomato sauce over the pizza base, layer on the mozzarella cheese and add any other toppings you would like

  • Take the longest edge and start rolling the pizza up until you have a big swiss roll shape

  • Cut the roll of pizza into 1½ inch or 2cm pieces

  • Put each piece onto the baking tray with the swirl facing upwards, push down slightly with your hand
