Cyrus' tip

You'll need your adult to turn over the omelette so it can cook on both sides.

What do we do?

  • Put a saucepan on the stove and boil some water.

  • Once boiling add the slices of potato, cook for 2 mins.

  • Once cooked, drain the potatoes and rinse them with cold water to stop them cooking.

  • Slice the onion thinly

  • Cut the pepper into small cubes. Divide the pepper in half putting one half away for another dish. Cut the remaining pepper into thin slices and then cut again into small cubes.

  • Put the parsley into a cup and chop with scissors.

  • Break the eggs into the mixing bowl.

  • Add the parmesan cheese, parsley, salt and pepper.

  • Use the fork to whisk the egg mixture.

  • Put the frying pan onto the stove over a medium heat.

  • Add the oil, onions and garlic.

  • Fry the onions for 3-4 minutes until they soften.

  • Add the pepper and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.

  • Add the potatoes and mix in with the onions and pepper.

  • Add the egg mixture, making sure it covers all the vegetables.

  • Cook until the egg is set. If you can, try and flip the omelette to get it brown on both sides. Or place under a grill.

I hope you enjoy it!
