

Stir Fry
The ingredients used in this recipe make a lovely sauce to go with any stir fry. You can add prawns, beef or keep it vegetarian. To make it a complete meal add noodles or serve with rice.
Ingredients (for two people)

1/2 pepper

1 Carrots

¼ bag Bean Sprouts

1 Chicken breasts or 2 chicken thighs

2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
-
1 tablespoon Honey
-
1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice

2 tablespoon Oil
What do we need?

Tablespoon

Teaspoon

Sharp Knife
-
Chopping boards (one meat board and one vegetable board)

Wok or frying pan

Wooden/ silicone spoon
-
Vegetable peeler
-
2 bowls
-
Cut the pepper in half and remove the seeds and stalk. Cut the pepper into long strips

Use the vegetable peeler to make long strips of carrot. Then cut them in half lengthways

Using scissors cut the chicken into strips

Measure out your sauce ingredients; soy sauce, honey, five spice and keep nearby

Put your frying pan or wok on the stove on a medium to high heat

Add the oil to your frying pan

Add your chicken and leave it for 2-3 minutes (do not move it around to soon as it will stick)

After 3 minutes give the chicken a stir round and check if it is cooked through. If it is still pink you need to cook it a little bit more

Once the chicken is cooked add the pepper and cook for 2 minutes

Add the beansprouts, carrots and the sauce ingredients

Cook for a further 2 minutes keep stirring

Once cooked you can eat it on its own or with rice/ noodles
